Moorland Public School has enjoyed a year of unprecedented athletic success with its students competing at State level for the first time in over 20 years.

In May Lara Watts became the school's first state cross country representative when she took part in the State Championships in Sydney. We are very proud of her efforts and sportsmanship and know how much training she put in to make it there.
Then in September our school relay team reached state level and competed at Homebush in Sydney.

Congratulations to Lachlan, Lyndal, Sam and Tyler for your outstanding effort . First in their heat; 4th in the semi-final; and 10th overall in the state (out of 36 teams). Great work! A huge thankyou to Mr Bob Zeller for his magnificent effort, in training the team at Tuncurry, over the past few weeks.
